Creaton's set for Tommy Kenny Cup.
The 6th annual Tommy Kenny Cup takes place in Creaton's Bar Loughlynn on Sunday the 14th of December, starting at 5pm.
It has been a well supported event in it's previous five runnings and has produced 4 different winners- visiting 3 different parts of the county. Knockcroghery's Jimmy Reilly was the first winner of The Kenny Cup in 2003. In 2004 and 2005 it was Loughlynn's Sean Finan who claimed the back to back title. In 2006 Finan's efforts for a three in a row were stopped by Ballaghaderreen's Martin Fleming who went on to win the Cup. Last year Knockcroghery player Mick Egan won the Cup after a top class final against the Kenny Cup ''nearly man'' Sean Fleming who has lost three Kenny Cup finals in a row. All 4 previous winners and a host of other players from across the county arer expected to take part.
